the Karver Design Office, <strong>Guillaume was recently selected to take over from Alexis Loison<\/strong> as skipper of the Normandy Region. On Wednesday May 12, 2021, the 18 duos will set off from Concarneau (Brittany \/ France) to set sail for St Barth. The Double Transat is the first transatlantic since the launch of the Figaro 3.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-58f62046 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"58f62046\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-64f54f47\" data-id=\"64f54f47\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6a89d9b7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6a89d9b7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Guillaume Pirouelle, an engineer in the race<\/h2>\n<p>What could be better than an offshore race of over 3,800 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean to test our latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.karver-systems.com\/en\/product\/kfr3-0-furler-racing-version\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KFR3.0 furler,<\/a> a clever mix of carbon and Kevlar developed by our Design Office. This furler is equipped with our brand new<a href=\"https:\/\/www.karver-systems.com\/en\/product\/furling-line-low-friction-sheaves-for-kf1-5-large-kf3-0\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> low friction sheave door<\/a> which reduces the friction of the line when leaving the furler.<\/p>\n<p>This is Guillaume&#8217;s first transatlantic race and the entire Karver team is by his side to follow him in this superb new adventure.<\/p>\n<h2>The double-handed transatlantic study office, a profitable experience for all<\/h2>\n<p>A transatlantic is a unique chance to see for yourself the consequences of the repeated efforts in presence, the wearing, the effects of the fatigue of crew and equipment. Guillaume is far from a novice but we are sure that these 2 to 3 weeks of navigation will have an impact on his future product designs. Having several seafarers within the company is a real opportunity that is beneficial to everyone and especially to the end user.<\/p>\n<h2>Follow them !<\/h2>\n<p>Alexis and Guillaume&#8217;s results are promising and of course we hope they will finish on the podium. <strong>However, there is no shortage of very good skippers on this edition<\/strong> and we wish all the crews good luck.<\/p>\n<p>During the prologue in Concarneau on Sunday May 9, our 2 skippers marked their territory by finishing second\u2026 Congratulations!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transatendouble.bzh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Follow the race<\/a> on the Transat en Double website.
