KARVER was created in 2004 from a major break in the nautical market : the appearance of textile links to replace steel links (shackles), and a visible discrepancy between the increasingly succesfful design of sailboats and deck fittings that have remained very rustic in appearance.
KARVER was created in 2004 from a major break in the nautical market : the appearance of textile links to replace steel links (shackles), and a visible discrepancy between the increasingly successful design of sailboats and deck fittings that have remained very rustic in appearance.
The team of founders led by Marin CLAUSIN was then convinced that there was a place in the high-end market to develop a company positioned on technological performance exploiting the use of new ultra-resistant textile materials with a very marked design.
All new products are carriers of technological innovations (about fifteen patents filed), of a breakthrough on the state of the art, in addition their design is based on the fundamental principle of a simple and effective technology carried by a sleek design : Development of solutions with racing teams (America’s Cup, Hydrofoil, Vendée globe), leadership in mechatronics with the integration of load sensors with wireless connection in the deck equipment, commitment to eco-responsibility with a carbon footprint from 2009, development and use of bio-sourced materials to replace materials from the petroleum industry.
A significant part of our turnover is generated by the sale of our furlers, which for several years have been a benchmark of quality and performance. Their major assets are these technical characteristics which appeal to racers (weight, dimensions, low friction, load capacity, etc.) but also the automatic locking system of the continuous line wheel which particularly appeals to all amateur sailors looking for simplicity and security.
